## What to hold fixed on Portuguese pages.

From delivery to checkout

Each workflow names a Portuguese platform, the inputs to hold fixed and the result to record. Outside your own service and authorized destinations, stay on a storefront's public, signed-out pages where its terms permit, by hand and at low volume, and open no accounts, place no orders and enter no personal or invented identity data such as a NIF, card or phone number.

### Grocery delivery postcodes on Continente Online

Continente Online, the online shop of Continente, MC's (Sonae) food retail brand, takes the delivery location from a typed postcode or from device location, and offers Click&Go pickup at an available store. The help page ties delivery to those two inputs, so hold both fixed and change only the exit.

**Keep fixed:** One NNNN-NNN postcode fixture in CTT's format, device location permission denied, a signed-out session and the same starting page.

**Record:** The delivery area or store list shown before sign-in, whether Click&Go appears, the final URL and the capture time. If the postcode step requires an account, stop and use your own storefront instead.

### Mainland and island delivery rules, modeled on Amazon.es

Amazon's list of European stores has no Portuguese one, and Amazon.es publishes shipping options for Portugal: Premium delivery covers most mainland postcodes but not the islands, and is offered at checkout only when the postcode qualifies. Use that split to define mainland and island cases on your own storefront; do not sign in, create an account, enter an address or open checkout on a third-party marketplace.

**Keep fixed:** On your own storefront or an authorized staging storefront with documented fixtures: product, quantity, site language and one postcode fixture per case, a mainland code and an Azores or Madeira code.

**Record:** Delivery options offered, the postcode used, displayed price and time, with mainland and island results in separate rows. Change the exit only once the postcode result is known.

### Portuguese search results and ad region targets

On 15 April 2025 Google announced that its country-code addresses would move to google.com over time, noting that since 2017 the domain has not changed which local results a searcher gets. Google Ads lists Portugal as country target 2620 (PT), with Lisbon, Porto District, Azores and Madeira among its region targets.

**Keep fixed:** The pt-PT query itself (for example "telemóvel usado"), pt-PT as interface language, one device, a signed-out browser, location permission and a clean session history. Google Play's language list separates pt-PT from pt-BR; your browser profile should too.

**Record:** Result URLs, the location Google reports and the time. Leave the country domain unpinned: google.com in the address bar is the announced change. For ads, note the region target the campaign uses and open only your own landing URL through the exit.

### Checkout methods and the NIF field on your Portuguese edition

SIBS manages the MULTIBANCO network and offers MB WAY, a mobile payment method that links bank details to a phone number alias, plus MULTIBANCO reference payments generated in real time. The tax authority's e-Fatura FAQ explains what happens when a buyer asks for their NIF on an invoice. Run these checks only on your own storefront or an authorized staging storefront, with documented fixtures.

**Keep fixed:** Your own or an authorized staging storefront with documented fixtures, the same basket, pt-PT locale, the NIF field left empty, no card or phone number, and one exit held through the whole basket-to-payment sequence.

**Record:** Payment methods listed, whether the NIF field appears and can be left empty, the edition served, the exit's country classification and whether the exit stayed the same throughout.

**Trial records:** Lei n.º 58/2019 implements the GDPR in Portugal and names the CNPD as the national supervisory authority. Keep screenshots and exit logs to what the check needs.

Check that your own Portuguese edition shows MB WAY, a MULTIBANCO reference and an optional NIF field, then stop before payment.

Learn the operator vocabulary

ANACOM, the Portuguese regulator for postal and electronic communications, ranks MEO, NOS, Vodafone, Grupo DIGI/NOWO and Lycamobile by active mobile accesses in its report for the fourth quarter of 2025. Each row says what the name covers and what to write into a brief. The table is vocabulary only: it does not show that ipvolt or any provider can reach these networks.

What MEO, NOS, Vodafone and DIGI mean in a proxy brief

Market shares count active mobile accesses with effective use, not proxy exits. Keep the operator label a provider attaches apart from two observed fields, the registry holder from the RIR record and the origin ASN and holder from a named routing lookup with the lookup time, and log the address family beside them.

## Portugal mobile proxies: which layer does the label control?

Define the mobile layer

ANACOM's reports name the operators and the MVNO arrangement behind Lycamobile, DIGI's coverage page draws the island line, and MaxMind explains why a mobile range may carry no city. Settle each item below with the supplier before a Portugal mobile label enters your test plan.

### MVNO brands on a host network

ANACOM's May 2021 report on mobile virtual network operators records that Lycamobile, active in Portugal since September 2012, uses Vodafone's network. Two menu labels can therefore describe one host network, while the origin ASN holder of a Lycamobile exit still has to be observed. Ask what each selection controls before counting it as a second network.

### Roaming SIMs from other EU countries

The European Commission says that since 15 June 2017 people pay nothing extra for roaming when traveling to other EU countries, so a SIM from elsewhere in the EU can use a Portuguese network with its home operator abroad. The charging rule says nothing about where that SIM's traffic reaches the internet; record the home operator and the exit's country classification as separate fields.

### Mainland and island coverage

DIGI's coverage page, checked in September 2026, said its mobile service was, for the moment, unavailable in the Azores and Madeira. While that exclusion stands, a DIGI selection cannot represent an island customer, and a mobile exit address may carry no city at all, so do not expect it to show which part of Portugal a handset is in. Write any island case explicitly, with its own postcode fixture.

### City precision on mobile ranges

MaxMind warns that a mobile network address can be in use by phones spread over a large distance, and that it may then return the country and region without a city or postal code. For a test plan, a missing city is not by itself a defect, but it leaves a city requirement unmet: a Lisbon case does not pass, while an Azores or Madeira case passes only when the returned region field matches.

### Write the island cases down

Decide whether Azores and Madeira customers are in scope, and give every case in the plan a CTT-format postcode fixture and its own pass condition before any exit is involved.

### Let the region field open the island rows

Look up each selection's exit in your application's location service, reading the address through one curl request to an endpoint you run. An island selection fails there if the returned region is missing or on the mainland; one the supplier cannot make is recorded as unavailable.

Before you join

### Does a Portugal exit cover the Azores and Madeira?

Not by itself. The Azores keep legal time one hour behind the mainland, DIGI's coverage page, checked in September 2026, said its mobile service was unavailable in both autonomous regions, and Amazon.es Premium delivery excludes the islands. Give each island case its own postcode fixture, with Azores time for the Azores (Madeira keeps mainland time), and pass it only when the returned region field matches.

### Is a Portugal label evidence of where the exit is?

Not on its own. It is the supplier's claim that destinations will classify the exit as Portuguese, so look up the observed address in the location service your destination uses and record the result. A district, an island, a city and a named operator each need their own evidence.

### Which operator name should I ask for?

Use ANACOM's names, MEO, NOS, Vodafone, DIGI/NOWO and Lycamobile, and say which layer you mean: the SIM's home operator or the origin ASN holder a routing lookup returns. Lycamobile is the name to check first, because ANACOM's May 2021 MVNO report places it on Vodafone's network. Ask the provider to confirm the current host before you count a Lycamobile row as a separate network.

### What should a Portugal residential proxy request specify?

The access type, not only the operator. NOS serves residential and business customers with television, internet, voice and mobile data, so a name alone cannot separate a fixed home line from a mobile or business connection. Ask how the access type is documented for your exit and how those connections are authorized for proxy use.

### Should my browser use pt-PT or pt-BR?

Set pt-PT explicitly for a Portugal test; Google's Play Console language list separates it from pt-BR. If a Brazilian Portuguese page arrives through a Portuguese exit, first switch only the browser language with the exit held, then hold the language and switch only the exit.

### Are ipvolt Portugal proxies available now?
