Customer terms

This policy is part of the ipvolt [Terms of Service](/terms).

## 1. How payment works

You add prepaid US-dollar balance to your account and spend it on services. Today, balance is added with cryptocurrency; card payment is not available yet. Crypto payments are enabled per account; if they are not enabled for yours, the dashboard tells you how to request access.

Each top-up is an **invoice** for an amount between $1 and $1,000,000. The invoice shows one payment address, the network, the coin and the exact amount to send. The supported coins and networks are listed when you create an invoice. Payment addresses belong to ipvolt: a payment you send is a payment to us for service credit, and we do not hold, store or exchange cryptocurrency on your behalf.

- **The rate is fixed for 60 minutes.** When the invoice is created, we calculate the coin amount for your dollar amount from a current market price, and that amount stays valid for the one-hour payment window. USDC is valued at $1. USDT is valued at its current market price, and USDT payments pause while its price is more than 1% away from $1. Amounts in ETH, POL and SOL are rounded up.
- **Send the exact amount, on the network shown, before the window closes.** You confirm this before an invoice is created.
- Payment details are hidden near the end of the window (the last 10 minutes for Bitcoin, the last 3 minutes otherwise) so that a new transfer does not arrive late.
- Limits per account: in any 24 hours, up to 10 invoices, of which at most 5 may go unpaid (open, expired or cancelled), and up to 3 cancellations; and one open unpaid invoice per network at a time. We may change limits to protect the service.

## 2. When your balance is credited

Your balance is credited automatically once the payment is confirmed on its blockchain: after 1 confirmation for Bitcoin, 6 for Litecoin, and once the network marks the block final for the other networks. Busy networks can cause delays; the invoice page shows progress.

| What you send | What happens |
|---|---|
| The exact amount or more, in time | The invoice amount is credited once. |
| More than the invoice amount | The invoice amount is credited. If the extra is more than 0.5% of the invoice, support refunds it or, if you prefer, adds it to your balance at the invoice rate. An extra of 0.5% or less is not credited or refunded; we keep it. |
| Less than the invoice amount | The invoice stays open so you can send the rest before the window closes. If the total is still short when it closes, support credits the value received at the invoice rate or, if you prefer, refunds it. |
| A payment that arrives after the window closes | Support reviews it. We credit it at the invoice rate if the delay was our fault or we accept it; otherwise we refund it. For Bitcoin and Litecoin, payments in the first block mined after the window closes, or the block after it, count as on time. A payment confirmed before the invoice was created is also reviewed. |
| Another payment after the invoice was paid | The invoice stays paid and shows that extra was received; support refunds it or credits it at the invoice rate. |
| A different coin or network than the invoice shows | It is not credited automatically. Contact support: we may be able to recover it but cannot promise to. We tell you the cost before we try, and deduct it from what we recover. |

You can cancel an invoice only before any payment has been seen and before its payment details are hidden. Cancelling does not reverse a transfer: a payment confirmed before you cancelled is still credited, and anything confirmed afterwards is reviewed as above.

If a blockchain reverses a payment after we credited it (rare, and mainly on Bitcoin), we may deduct the amount from your balance or ask you to pay it again.

## 3. How crypto refunds are made

- For a payment we did not credit, we refund the amount of the coin we received, less the network fee, whatever its dollar value is when we send it. When we refund balance that was already credited, we calculate the coin amount from a current market price on the day we send it.
- Refunds are sent by our team in the same coin and on the same network you paid with, to an address you confirm in writing. We do not refund in another coin, on another network or in fiat currency.
- We deduct the network fee for sending the refund. If the amount due is smaller than that fee, we add it to your balance instead.
- We may ask you to show that you control the paying wallet or account.
- We may ask who you are and what your business does before we credit a payment or send a refund. We may refuse or delay a refund where sanctions or other law require it, or to an address we cannot link to you.
- We aim to send a refund within 5 business days of agreeing it. Blockchain transfers cannot be reversed, so a payment sent to the wrong address or network may be unrecoverable.

## 4. Balance

Balance is service credit in US dollars for ipvolt services. It does not expire. It cannot be withdrawn, exchanged or transferred to another customer. Unused balance is not refunded when an account closes, except that we refund it on request if we close your account or stop offering the services for a reason other than your breach of the Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, or if you close your account because you do not accept a change to the Terms. We may deduct amounts you owe us. Refunds are made as section 3 describes. The law may also require a refund in other cases.

## 5. Mobile proxy orders

- When you confirm an order, the price is reserved from your balance and charged only once the device is delivered. If the order cannot be fulfilled, the reserved amount returns to your balance. If our partner's result is unclear, the amount stays reserved while we check, and is then charged for a delivered device or returned to your balance.
- Rentals do not renew automatically. A renewal is a new charge at the price quoted at the time (quotes are valid for two minutes). A renewal that fails is not charged, with the same reservation rule while we check.
- **Started rentals are not refundable**, except that:
  - if a device fails and we cannot repair or replace it, we credit the unused part of the rental to your balance, pro rata by the hour;
  - if a supplier problem puts an order under review, we credit any amount due to your balance once it is resolved; and
  - if we stop a rental for a reason other than your breach of the Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, for example because our infrastructure partner or the law requires it, we credit the unused part to your balance, pro rata by the hour.
- Order refunds are credited to your balance, not paid out in cryptocurrency.
- Rotation, the carrier returning the same IP, or a website blocking a device is not a fault that qualifies for a refund.
- Rentals stopped because of a breach of the [Acceptable Use Policy](/acceptable-use) are not refunded.

## 6. Questions

Email hello@ipvolt.com with the subject "Payment" and your invoice ID (the invoice page fills this in), and include the transaction ID (hash) and the network. Never send your wallet seed phrase, private keys or passwords: we will never ask for them. See [Support](/support).
